Let’s talk tools. The Mint Roller is a go-to in Mo’s travel kit—and not in the way you might expect.
“I love to use the Mint Roller warm, especially when I’m on the go,” Mo shares. “Just run it under hot water and it becomes this calming, depuffing wand of magic.”
Here’s Mo’s step-by-step method:
- Warm It Up
Place the roller under warm (not scalding) tap water. The heat relaxes tissue, encourages lymph flow, and soothes the nervous system. Think of it like a warm compress + massage in one. - Follow the Lymphatic Pathways
- Begin by rolling down the sides of the neck. This opens up the drainage pathways.
- Then, start at the center of the face (chin, cheeks, nose) and roll outward, toward the ears and hairline.
- Move in rows—from the jawline to the forehead, and then reverse direction: from the forehead back down the face.
- Always finish by rolling down the neck again, sending everything to the lymph nodes for drainage.
Mo notes that consistency and gentle pressure are more important than speed. “The layers of soft tissue respond beautifully to slow, mindful movement,” she says.
